Chavon is a Licensed Professional Counselor, National Certified Counselor, and Certified Substance Abuse Counselor Supervisee. She received her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Regent University. Chavon has an eclectic theoretical approach to meet the needs of her clients, however her primary approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). She believes when people are cognizant of how their thoughts influence their feelings and behavior, they will be able to make the necessary changes in their thoughts to resolve problems and change habits.
Chavon started her counseling journey after dealing with her own struggles with depression and anxiety. She is passionate about educating others on mental health and helping them care for their mental health. Chavon believes that being mentally healthy is just as important as being physically healthy. In her free time, Chavon enjoys listening to music, spending time with her family and friends, and trying new things.
